These pictures of the Light Rail system, which provides a modern and efficient service in the fast growing new towns in the north-west New Territories, the largest part of Hong Kong, kindly provided by Kenny Fan.
The system began operation in 1988, 18th September. The route length is now 32 kilometres with eight routes, 57 stops and a fleet of 119 cars, either operating singly or in pairs.
