Vancouver
Sunday, March 21, saw the end of the operation of Bombardier's free tram service between Vancouver's Olympic Village Station and the Granville Island terminus, a distance of 1.8 kilometers. Ridership was impressive with up to 25,00 passengers per day, 550,000 passengers during the two month period of operation. Brussels' Flexity trams appeared to have left a very favorable impression.
