LRTA AGM – Sweden, 17th – 22nd September 2026
This year the Annual General Meeting of the LRTA will take place on Sunday 20th September in Norrkoping.
Thursday 17th September – Arrival day in Stockholm with free time.
The modern tram route 7 departs the Central Station for the Island of Djurgårds and the 7N is a shorter version operated by museum cars.
The historic interurbans have been modernised, but some keep some tramway features. Line 21, Lidingöbanan (Line 21) in the north east departing from Ropsten and Line 12, Nockebybanan in the south east. This departs from Alvik where it also meets the new circular Tvärbanan light rail lines 30 and 31.
The Saltsjöbananis standard gauge departing from Slussen to the east and the Roslagsbanan is a 891mm gauge interurban in the north.
We will stay at the hotel Elite Arcadia **** for two nights with dinner included on the first evening.
Friday 18th September – Free time in Stockholm to explore the extensive system. A visit to museum line 7N will be arranged.
Saturday 19th – Leaving at 09h30 for the Swedish Tramway Museum at Malmkoping (106km). Admission is included for this special opening. At 15h00 we move on to Norrkoping (95km) where we stay for 3 nights at Elite Grand hotel ****. Dinner is included on the first evening.
Sunday 20th – The LRTA AGM will take place in the afternoon followed by a dinner (included) will take place in the evening.
Monday 21st – Free day in Norrkoping. We will be seeking to arrange a visit to the tram museum and a tour.
Tuesday 22nd – Returning to the airport by train for the journey home.
